Two of my officemates are getting ready for the arrival of the stork. And we are preparing for their shower before the bird comes. They are first-time moms so every gift must have been meticulously thought of.

One friend was thinking of giving a CD for kids. It has been widely accepted that music brings out the genius in the baby, or, at least, cultivates the brain of the child.

Another one is going to give a nursing set to the moms. We’re really excited to see her gifts because it is also one way of letting the new parents save up for the delivery instead of making them buy feeding bottles.

I should also probably tell the new parents to babyproof their house. Babies and toddlers are most prone to accidents because they cannot fully control their movements yet. Just yesterday, my son would’ve had humongous bump had it not been for the cushion we have at the corners.

Anyway, what is my gift? you have to look into my cheat sheet.

When everyone else was going to The Fort to watch Rihanna and Chris Brown, we were off to the other side of town to watch the great virtuoso violinist Jeremy Dadap who happens to be our cousin. Ok, he is my husband’s cousin which makes him my cousin.

Yeah, who would have thought I would be related to musically-inclined people?

My son loves the playground so much that he does not care even if the slide is not clean. This was taken just after it rained. It was still drizzling, but the kid did not mind the drops and the mud.
